Before you can decide where best to improve your personal actions to decrease your impact on the places you love to ride, or start by offsetting your impact, you need to know what your CO2 footprint looks like. To help you on your way, we have rounded up some tools to measure your individual environmental impact:
Please note the outcomes of these different tools may vary depending on methodology, assumptions and data used by the different tools. But they might help you to identify the areas to best address in order to reduce your footprint.
Some of these tools refer to offsetting your carbon footprint. While this can be a solution in some cases where impact is unavoidable, offsetting is not addressing the root of the cause, and can even be more harmful in situations.
